All churches have been infiltrated in these last days, these end times of the world.
But the Roman Catholic Church has been corrupt since the beginning. So corrupt that God
gave us two entire chapters in the book of Revelation that tells us of this harlot church's
iniquities and eventual destruction.
The chapters dedicated to
"MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH
are chapters seventeen and eighteen of Revelation.
Papal Rome/the Roman Catholic Church is this Mystery Babylon, it is the mother harlot church, which rules from Rome.
God calls His people out of her, lest they take part
in her sins and plagues.
"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be
not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."
How do we know that the Roman Catholic Church/papal Rome is this harlot church?
In chapter 17 we are given key identifying traits.
Verse 1 tells us she sits upon many waters. It is true Rome is surrounded by water, but this is not what
scripture means here, it is speaking of waters as people. Rome sits on the northern part of the
Mediterranean Sea. The lands surrounding these waters are the most culturally diverse in the whole world.
Verse 2 tells us she commits fornication with the kings of the earth, which is spiritual adultery,
leading men and women into unfaithfulness to God through idolatry and corruption.
All the princes and kings of Europe in the dark ages, and for many centuries were, and not
a few of them are now, entirely under the influence of papal Rome.
Look at how they worship Mary, a woman like you and I. Yea though a very blessed woman
to be chosen to bare the Lord Jesus Christ in her womb, she is still just a woman, not to be worshipped.
The Catholic church is extremely wealthy.
The Catholic church has been the center of child molestation jokes for a long time.
Now that we are getting so close to the end that all things are coming to the light,
we see that these jokes were not baseless. There are many reports in recent news
about sexual perversion and child molestation cases opening up that have to do with
high ranking members of the RCC (Roman Catholic Church).
Jesus was meek and lowly, He didn't have a sure resting place every night, he came humbly into
Jerusalem riding a donkey! We are not to store up wealth in this life, being pompous and exalting
ourselves over others with extremely expensive churches and basilicas. It is not of the spirit of God!
"Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to
the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me."
We are to suffer and live a life of humility, doing the works of God in this short life.
Our glory, our riches are to be in Heaven, not this world.
"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and
where thieves break through and steal: 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break
through nor steal: 21 for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
In verse 3 of chapter 17 we are told she is full of names of blasphemy.
Just look at the blasphemous titles given to the pope.
"And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven."
Which means "Great High Priest".
The fact is, this title has been claimed by the Lord Jesus Christ. The book of Hebrews
calls Him the "Great High Priest" (Hebrews 4:14, 8:1, 10:21).
"Vicar of Christ"
The title "vicar" refers to a person being a representative or substitute. There is only
one that fully represents Christ on this earth, not the pope of Rome, but the Holy Spirit.
"And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and
decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in
her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:"
"And here is the mind which hath wisdom.
The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth."
Rome is well known as the "City of Seven Hills".
"And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth."
