God lead me to Him and the truth of His word, the Holy Bible, by showing me the widespread satanic corruption around the world, through the occult symbols that are used worldwide in media, logos and even on our dollar bills. He also showed me that all the churches are infiltrated with Satan's false apostles and ministers. I was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and have been following the Lord ever since (keeping His commandments and living for Him).
Baptism is "the rite representing the cleansing of the life from heathen pollutions and devotion to the service of the true God" (Ellicott commentary on John 3:5). When you are baptized you are now affiliating yourself with Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross for your sins and with the body of Christ, with all other true Christians.
1 Peter 1:23 KJB
"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."
Baptism has always been a public display of religion, showing you taking Jesus Christ as your savior. This is a good thing to lose any hesistation, anxiety, pride, about owning the name of Jesus! During my childhood and youth I was taught that to be affiliated with Jesus was embarrassing, or corny, or that if you did you were a "Jesus freak". The wicked have done this so people are afraid or ashamed to own Jesus. But He is our God. There is no shame in His name. He has created ALL things. We should not have any hesitation to proclaim and claim the name of Jesus Christ as Lord!
With that said, we should not ignore the knowledge that we have, such as what is shown on the The Churches are Corrupted page.
With the knowledge that the churches are completely infiltrated by Satan's ministers as proven in the above article, we should still go to church, but to be very careful as to not receive their false doctrines and examples of what the Christian life is to be like. We can still be baptized and make a public profession as in times past, even if the one baptizing may not truly be a Christian.
Being born again: it is a regeneration from our corrupt self-seeking nature to one that lives in strict obedience unto the will of God. A transformation of yourself by God into a new moral life is what being born again means. It is as if you are born again in that you do a complete 180 and live a completely new life, from doing your own will to that of God's.
old life = what you want to do (your will) new life = what God wants you to do (His will)
Ephesians 4:22-24 KJB
"22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."
Baptism is not some magical moment where God's spirit descends upon you, you begin to hear His literal voice and and speak with tongues (which I don't believe God gives this gift anymore).
Acts 5:32 KJB
"And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him."
